About Me
Annie Holmes, LCSW
I love movement and play. I bike, cook, read, watch cooking shows, and go on walks in my free time. I'm a big fan of moving and talking with folks who I love the most. I garden or sit on my back porch and soak up the sunshine. I think fresh picked strawberries are one of the most beautiful parts of life. I think that having a teddy bear growing up helped me keep my softness for longer than most.

I have always enjoyed working with children because of their deep connections to themselves. I think it is important that adults help them keep their sparkles, work through hard things, and support them to be connected to who they are at their core.

In my previous work, I provided in-school therapy for elementary age students, integrated behavioral healthcare at a pediatricians office, and case management at an inpatient psychiatric hospital. Prior to becoming a social worker, I worked primarily in non-traditional education through Colorado Outward Bound School, elementary school after-school programs, and Eagle Rock School.

I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a BA in psychology in 2014 and from Colorado State University with a master's in social work in 2020. I have been trained in Synergetic Play Therapy, Child-centered Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Brainspotting.
